Seed Germination and Coleoptile Growth of New Rice Lines Adapted to Hypoxic Conditions
We investigated the morpho-physiological traits of rice (Oryza sativa L.) during the germination and post-germination phases to explore avoidance of hypoxic conditions. We compared four lines selected for anaerobic germination (AG lines) with the variety

Evaluating the capacity of human gut microorganisms to colonize the zebrafish larvae (Danio rerio) [PDF]
Indexación: Scopus. In this study we evaluated if zebrafish larvae can be colonized by human gut microorganisms. We tested two strategies: (1) through transplantation of a human fecal microbiota and (2) by successively transplanting aerotolerant anaerobic

Influence of external factors on seed germination in field crops [PDF]
Seed germination is a complex biological process influenced by a combination of internal and external factors. This paper analyzes the impact of key environmental factors: temperature, water availability, light, pH value, and storage conditions on seed ...

Improvement of seed germination of Fagus orientalis Lipsky [PDF]
This thesis was seeking two main approaches for improvement of seed germination of oriental beech, a timber producing species in Hyrcanian forests in northern Iran. Germination behavior of beechnuts was enhanced either by decreasing the dormancy breakage

The stainability of ascospores and vegetative cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to acid-fast staining, using hot Ziehl's carbolic fuchsin solution, 5% sulfuric acid, and diluted Loffler's methylene blue, was examined. Resting spores and growing haploid cells (a type strain 24428 and α type 3626) retained much fuchsin dye in the cells.

Spore Germination Apparatus in Clostridium botulinum Group I and II [PDF]
Spore germination is a significant step in the transformation of dormant spores into exponentially dividing vegetative cells, and in the case of Clostridium botulinum in the formation of the deadly botulinum neurotoxin.
