Summary An uncommon complication following prosthetic laryngoplasty was reported in a 4‐year‐old Andalusian mare. The mare was presented with a previously diagnosed left‐sided recurrent laryngeal neuropathy, after initial evaluation the mare underwent ventriculocordectomy and prosthetic laryngoplasty.

Abstract A specimen of rosy barb Pethia conchonius of 51 mm standard length, encountered in an urban pond in London, is reported. This small cyprinid is native to lakes and streams in subtropical regions of southern Asia and is commonly sold as an ornamental fish.

Abstract The northeastern Atlantic Forest of Brazil harbours a remarkable diversity of species of Trichomycteridae, many of which remain poorly understood. This study describes a new species of Ituglanis, endemic to the Ribeirão São Roque, a stream tributary of Rio Piabanha, an affluent of Rio Colônia basin, Bahia State, Brazil.
