Analcime-albite equilibria

American Journal of Science, 1965
New data are presented that suggest the reaction analcime+quartz=albite+liquid water is in equilibrium near 190 degrees C or possibly at even lower temperatures. On the basis of these data, a phase diagram showing the field of stability of the assemblage analcime-quartz is constructed. The delta G degrees of the above reaction estimated from these data

The analcime-phyric phonolites (blairmorites) and associated analcime kenytes of the Lupata Gorge, Mocambique

Lithos, 1976
Abstract The petrology and mineralogy of three lavas from the Lupata Gorge, Mocambique, containing primary euhedral analcime phenocrysts, up to 1.5 cm in diameter, as well as potassium feldspar and nepheline phenocrysts, are described. Electron microprobe analyses of these phases and a whole rock analysis of the blairmorite are given.

Study of Hydrothermal Synthesis of Analcime

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Na2SiO3·9H2O and NaAlO2are used as raw materials to synthesize analcime molecular sieve with hydrothermal synthesis. Theinfluence of SiO2/Al2O3 ratio, mixing time, aging time, crystallize temperature, crystalize time are also discussed to determine theparameters of synthesis.

Titanomagnetites from a differentiation sequence, analcime-olivine theralite to analcime-tinguaite

Mineralogical Magazine and Journal of the Mineralogical Society, 1965
SummarySix titanomagnetites from a differentiated alkaline intrusion have been studied using microscopie, chemical, and X-ray techniques. The titanomagnetites are homogeneous; with differentiation their FeO and TiO2contents decrease, and Fe2O3increases.

Doranite — a magnesium rich analcime

Zeolites, 1987
Abstract Doranite, from Knockagh (Carrickfergus, County Antrim, UK) was examined by wet chemical analysis, SEM, thermal analysis and XRD. It was shown to be analcime with an unusually high magnesium content such that one third of the cation sites contained magnesium.

Crystal Structure of Li-Analcime

Journal of Structural Chemistry, 2000
Li-analcime Li1.69Na0.14[Al1.83Si4.17O12] · 2.05H2O has been prepared and studied by single-crystal X-ray structural analysis: a = 13.510(2), b = 13.520(1), c = 13.503(2) A, V = 2466.4(9) A3, Z = 8, space group Pbca. The structure is compared with that of the starting Na-analcime. Lithium atoms lie near Na sites with a distorted octahedral coordination

Zonal dissolution in analcime and pseudomorphs of adularia after analcime from the Lizard, Cornwall

Mineralogical Magazine, 1978
SummaryAnalcime of hydrothermal origin occurs in the gabbros and in the amphibolites and granulites. Crystals from the different rock suites display the same unusual characteristics upon dissolution: the interior is much more susceptible to attack than the outer growth zone; the former may be converted to a skeletal boxwork, and the latter may suffer ...

Analcimic zones in the tertiary of anatolia and their geological positions

Sedimentary Geology, 1982
Abstract The Anatolian Tertiary and especially the Neogene have some geological series with analcime as the principal rock-forming mineral. Sedimentation basins receiving material in suspension and in solution permit the authigenesis of analcime dolomite, calcite and opal(C-T). Analcimes formed by hydrothermal alteration on the ocean floor, after the

Hydrothermal synthesis of analcime without template

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2020
Abstract Analcime is a highly crystalline material that is found in nature or can be produced artificially. In this work the hydrothermal synthesis of analcime zeolite without organic template was carried out by evaluating the influence of SiO2/Al2O3, NaOH/SiO2 and H2SO4/SiO2 ratios. The samples were characterized with SBET, XRD and SEM.

Analcimes from some potassic igneous rocks and aspects of analcime-rich igneous assemblages

Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology, 1968
The mineralogy and chemistry of some analcime-rich igneous rocks — analcimites from the potassic Highwood province, Montana, and an analcime tinguaite from the Dunedin Volcanic Complex, New Zealand — have been investigated to obtain some indication of the K→Na substitution in natural analcimes.
