The Kinetics of Analcime Synthesis in Alkaline Solution
Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, 2004AbstractIn this study glass has been used as a starting material in order to increase the resolution of the experiment and establish the kinetics of analcimes during hydrothermal synthesis. The experimental results show that the crystal growth curves represent two‐stage linear growth.

AbstractWithin a reyerite-tobermorite (11 Å) amygdale assemblage in olivine basalt blocks, near Drynock, Skye, is a porcellaneous material which either lines or completely fills the amygdales (Livingstone, 1988). Electron-probe microanalysis combined with back-scattered electron imaging identifies individual components of the porcellaneous material as ...

Thallium cations in the analcime framework
Mineralogical Magazine, 2000AbstractKyono et al. (1999) have synthesized a thallium leucite. They have drawn conclusions from this relating to cation mobilities. Attention is drawn to alternative explanations and related to extensive previous work.

Ordered distribution of aluminum atoms in analcime
Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, 1998Based on the connectivity relations among tetrahedron sites and the NMR spectra, we propose an ordered distribution of aluminum atoms in the framework of analcime with space groups of Pbcb and Pcaa. The symmetries of the ordered distributions are formally the same as Pcca.

Analcime in the Popo Agie Member of the Chugwater Formation
Science, 1952ABSTRACT Analcime has been determined to be a prominent and characteristic mineral in the Popo Agie "beds," a member of the Chugwater formation. It is responsible for the distinctive lithology and physical properties which set out the Popo Agie from other western Mesozoic red beds.

Some natural analcime solid solutions
Mineralogical Magazine and Journal of the Mineralogical Society, 1963SummaryChemical, optical, and X-ray data are presented on three analcimes from a differentiation sequence, olivine-theralite to analcime-tinguaite; compared with the ideal analcime composition, they reveal replacement of NaAl→Si. Optical and X-ray data on these minerals accord reasonably well with analcimes possessing similar compositions, and ...

A new and important occurrence of sedimentary analcime
Journal of Sedimentary Research, 1964Abstract Analcime-bearing pyroclastic rocks, mostly tuffs, are described from the Chubutian group (Cretaceous) of the Senguerr river region, Argentina. The analcime occurs as a replacement of the tuffaceous matrix and as crystals, cavity fillings, veinlets, and cement. Origin is authigenic and closely related to a lacustrine or marshy
