Read My Leads: Subject‐Specific RF Hazard Assessment and Mitigation for DBS Implants in MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 4, Page 2316-2330, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop and validate a framework for personalized, implant‐specific MRI safety assessments using feedback from commercial deep brain stimulation (DBS) systems. To further use this framework to suppress RF‐induced heating with minimum compromise in imaging performance.

Low Sensitivity of Neuropsychological Scales Hinder Detection of Potential Benefit of Treatments in Alzheimer's Disease: A Position Paper

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Despite the advent of Disease Modifying Therapies (DMTs) for Alzheimer's Disease (AD), the approval and commercialization of anti‐amyloid monoclonal antibodies has been slow and contentious, particularly in Europe. The primary source of debate is the discrepancy between robust biological effects—namely, effective β‐amyloid clearance—

Turbulence‐Resilient Coherent Receiver Array on CMOS‐Compatible Silicon Photonics for Free Space Optical Communications

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 5, 16 March 2026.
A CMOS‐compatible silicon‐photonic 4 × 4 coherent receiver array spatially samples turbulence‐distorted wavefronts and, with maximum‐ratio combining, enables signal recovery. Experimental BPSK tests under moderate turbulence approach theoretical combining efficiency, reducing BER from 1E‐2 to 1E‐15.
