ISAAC: a symbolic simulator for analog integrated circuits
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1989The symbolic simulator ISAAC (interactive symbolic analysis of analog circuits) is presented. The program derives all AC characteristics for any analog integrated circuit (time-continuous and switched-capacitor, CMOS, JFET, and bipolar) as symbolic expressions in the circuit parameters. This yields analytic formulas for transfer functions, CMRR (common-

An Analog Integrated-Circuit Vocal Tract
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, 2008We present the first experimental integrated-circuit vocal tract by mapping fluid volume velocity to current, fluid pressure to voltage, and linear and nonlinear mechanical impedances to linear and nonlinear electrical impedances. The 275 muW analog vocal tract chip includes a 16-stage cascade of two-port pi-elements that forms a tunable transmission ...

Analog FIR Filter Integrated Circuit
2017 New Generation of CAS (NGCAS), 2017Analog FIR filters are critical components of advanced data processing and communication systems. Unlike digital filters, they do not utilize clock signals, but require broad-band analog delay units and variable-gain linear amplifiers. This paper describes a 9-tap linear FIR filter IC with a novel tree-shaped architecture based on an internal ...

An analog integrated circuit for motion detection
1998 Second International Conference. Knowledge-Based Intelligent Electronic Systems. Proceedings KES'98 (Cat. No.98EX111), 2002It was clarified in motion detection that the analog network based on a biological system works in a similar manner to a simplified algorithm of the optical flow. The proposed network is constructed by combining simple fundamental circuits called VSC. The direction and speed of motion can be detected with the network.

Integrated-Circuit Analog Multiplexer
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1970An analog multiplexer which allows several data channels to share the available bandwidth of one channel of an analog tape recorder is described. The method involves demodulation by correlating with a separately recorded carrier. Inexpensive integrated circuits are the only active elements.

Techniques for synthesis of analog integrated circuits
IEEE Design & Test of Computers, 1992The CAD tools that have been developed for automated analog synthesis are reviewed. The synthesis process is described. The major techniques employed by the tools are examined. They are knowledge-based hierarchical design, analytic design, and placement/routing. Critical design issues are identified.

Symbolic analysis of analog integrated circuits
Proceedings Eleventh International Conference on VLSI Design, 2002In this paper we describe a new approach to simplification of symbolic expressions obtained using symbolic simulators. We use a combination of matrix-based and flow-graph based technique to generate signal flowgraphs that have frequency-dependent edge weights.

Verification of Complex Analog Integrated Circuits
2007 6th IEEE Dallas Circuits and Systems Workshop on System-on-Chip, 2006Functional complexity in analog, mixed-signal, and RF (A/RF) designs is increasing dramatically. Today?s simple A/RF functional block such as an RF receiver or power management unit can have hundreds to thousands of control bits. A/RF designs implement many modes of operation for different standards, power saving modes, and calibration.
