Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

RL-SARSA Machine Learning Based Analog Radio over Fiber System
We propose a 10-Gb/s 64-quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signal-based Radio over Fiber (RoF) system for 50 km of standard single mode fiber length which utilizes Reinforcement Learning (RL) SARSA based decision method to indicate an effective decision which mitigates nonlinearity.

Towards Integrated and High Performance III-V/Si Laser for Analog Radio Over Fiber
The need for highly integrated system design for Analog Radio over Fiber (ARoF) architecture has long been identified as a solution to improve its noise figure and dynamic range. While silicon photonics has been the major technology driving this solution with several demonstrations of integrated filters, photodiodes, and amplifiers, etc., effective ...

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Analog and all-digital frequency distribution via optical fiber links
We present two optical fiber-based radio-frequency signal distribution systems based on analog and all-digital electronics. The achieved fractional frequency transfer stabilities are similar: ~6×10-17 (over 104s) for analog using a 20km fiber ...

We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.
