Following the ideas about analogies, mathematical, qualitative, and structural, introduced by Mihailo Petrović in Elements of Mathematical Phenomenology (Serbian Royal Academy, Belgrade, 1911), in this paper we present our research results focused on ...

A spin group (SG)‐based mechanism is proposed to realize a single pair of Weyl points. PT‐symmetric nodal lines (NLs) persist under T‐breaking, protected by the combination of SG and P symmetry. When considering spin‐orbit coupling, the SG‐protected NL will split into Weyl points, which will also induce anomalous transport phenomena arising from ...

Pensamiento analógico y construcción de un modelo molecular para la materia [PDF]
Firstly, in this paper a theoretical scheme on the mechanisms of the analogical thinking in science education is summarised. Secondly, the degree of understanding reached by a group of students about the analogies used in class on the molecular model is ...

How to use analogies for breakthrough innovations [PDF]
Analogies can trigger breakthrough ideas in new product development. Numerous examples demonstrate that substantial innovations often result from transferring problem solutions from one industry or domain to another.

This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Thermodynamical Equilibrium of Vortices in the Isotropic Bidimensional Kac Rotator
We consider here the problem of extrema for the Kac functional with long range, ferromagnetic interaction, and vorticity conditions at infinity which make it not weakly closed.

Light‐Controlled Reversible Coassembly of Hybrid Functional Nanostructures
Light‐responsive hybrid nanostructures are formed by coassembling azobenzene‐ and PAH‐functionalized nanoparticles through reversible an tunable π interactions. The system enables tunable coupling between distinct components such as gold and magnetite or carbon nanotubes, producing switchable optical and magnetic properties under light and magnetic ...

Multifunctional atomic layer deposited coatings and interface treatments enhance direct solar water splitting on GaAs/GaInP tandem cells. Optimized TiO2/Pt nanoparticle bilayers ensure durability and catalytic efficiency with minimal optical losses, while H2 plasma pretreatments maximize photovoltage and interfacial charge extraction.

Learning from multiple analogies: an Information Theoretic framework for predicting criminal recidivism [PDF]
If recidivism is defined as rearrest within a finite period following release from prison, then the kinds of outcomes typically available to researchers include: (i) whether or not the individual was rearrested within the follow-up period; (ii) how many ...
