Analysis of Hazard Identification Methods in Process Industries Using Analytic Network Process Technique (ANP)

open access: yesSalāmat-i kār-i Īrān, 2019
Background and aims: Hazard identification is a critical factor to ensure safe design and operation of systems in the process industries. Process industries are one of the most complex systems, with a variety of equipment, control systems, and executive ...

THE LEGACY OF THE ANALYTIC HIERARCHY/NETWORK PROCESS

open access: yesInternational Journal of the Analytic Hierarchy Process, 2017
There is no doubt that the Analytic Hierarchy Process is in itself a remarkable contribution to the field of decision making.  In this paper, I have tried to point out what I consider to be Tom Saaty’s three most important contributions within his Analytic Hierarchy Process: group decision making, conflict resolution and the fundamental equation of ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Personnel selection using analytic network process

open access: yes, 2007
In literature, there are various methods regarding personnel selection. However, it is observed that in these methods, the interdependency of per sonnel selection factors are not taken into consideration. In this paper, a method including interdependencies of the personnel selection factors is studied for the purpose of satisfying the defect noticed ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
