Lower bounds on the radius of spatial analyticity for the fourth-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation with power-type nonlinearity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics for Industry
In this paper, we consider the initial value problem associated to the fourth-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation in the defocusing scenario :i∂tu+Δ2u−λΔu+|u|p−1u=0,(x,t)∈ℝd×ℝ,u(x,0)=g(x), where [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] be an odd integer,

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

THE TYPOLOGICAL STATUS OF THE NAKH LANGUAGES

open access: yesВестник Волгоградского государственного университета: Серия 2. Языкознание
The article describes the features of the manifestation of agglutinative and inflective ways of forming linguistic units (words, word forms, phrases, and sentences) in the Nakh languages in order to clarify the morphological type of these languages.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

vinum-Analytics

open access: yesMachine Learning and Knowledge Extraction
Old-vine vineyards often contain dozens of grapevine varieties intermingled and irregularly distributed, making plant-level varietal identification slow and expensive when based on ampelography or molecular approaches. This paper proposes a field-oriented computer-vision pipeline for Vitis vinifera variety identification using images with a natural ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...
