Smile Asymmetry and Eyelid Closure Following Temporalis Muscle Transfer for Facial Reanimation: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This systematic review and meta‐analysis of 53 studies and 1354 patients evaluates the outcomes of temporalis muscle transfer in facial nerve paralysis. Endothelial Hydrogels Improve Microvascular Regeneration and Perfusion in Tracheal Scaffolds

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Insufficient vascularization remains a major barrier to successful tracheal transplantation. This study demonstrates that an endothelial hydrogel significantly enhances graft perfusion and neovessel organization compared to non‐endothelial hydrogel controls.

Influence of Tracheostomy Level on Surgical Management of Pediatric Airway Stenosis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Tracheostomy location is a critical determinant of surgical complexity and outcomes in pediatric laryngotracheal stenosis. Misplacement may lead to longer tracheal resections, an increased need for stoma relocation, more complex reconstruction, and secondary stenosis. Strategic planning of tracheostomy position can improve surgical outcomes.
