Molecular markers for genotyping anastomosis groups and understanding the population biology of Rhizoctonia species

open access: yesJournal of General Plant Pathology, 2014
Soil-borne Rhizoctonia fungi cause serious diseases in several plant species. For the classification of these fungi, the number of nuclei in a hyphal cell and the anastomosis reaction are important criteria. Although Rhizoctonia spp. has a wide host range, the causal agents have been reported to be selective for host plant families or species and lead ...

Short‐Term Outcomes of Robot‐Assisted Versus Laparoscopic Colectomy for Colon Cancer: A Propensity Score‐Matched Analysis

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study compared short‐term outcomes of robot‐assisted versus laparoscopic colectomy for colon cancer using 1:1 propensity score matching. Among 218 matched pairs, robot‐assisted colectomy was associated with reduced blood loss, fewer conversions to open surgery, lower overall complication rates, and shorter hospital stays, despite longer operative ...

Health‐related quality of life following total minimally invasive, hybrid minimally invasive or open oesophagectomy: a population‐based cohort study

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
All patients operated for oesophageal cancer in Sweden from 2013 to April 2018 were identified, and 246 patients were recruited to this population‐based nationwide Swedish study. The results show that longitudinal health‐related quality of life after minimally invasive oesophagectomy was similar to that of the open surgical approach.

An oblique anastomosis has more linear length than a transverse anastomosis of a tubular structure in oesophageal anastomosis

open access: yes, 2009
Oesophageal stricture continues to be a challenging paediatric surgical problem. This study aimed to compare the results of oblique and transverse anastomosis to prevent anastomotic stricture that occurred following oesophageal repairs.
