Speckle Observations With PISCO in Calern (France): III. Astrometric Measurements of Visual Double Stars in 2019 and New or Revised Orbits for STT531 AB, STT77 AB, STF1338 AB, COU1746, STT260, A1109 AB, HU1291, and A632 AB

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present relative astrometric measurements of visual double stars, made in 2019 with the speckle camera PISCO at the 1‐m Epsilon telescope of the C2PU facility (Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur, Calern site). Our observing list contains orbital couples as well as double stars whose motion is still uncertain.

Andisols from Tondano Area, North Sulawesi: Properties and Classification

open access: yesJournal of Tropical Soils, 2008
Three pedons of Andisol (TN-1, TN-2 and TN-3) developed from young volcanic materials of the Lokon, Soputan, and Lengkoan volcanoes respectively in the Tondano area, North Sulawesi, were studied in the field, and 18 soil samples were analysed in the ...

Electron compensation‐gated nanomotor for immunomodulation and microenvironment remodeling in bacterial pneumonia therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
A nanomotor featuring an “electronic lock” via electron compensation in an Au‐Ag alloy ensures therapeutic precision. Near‐infrared light acts as a key, unlocking on‐demand Ag+ release for synergistic bactericidal action and microenvironment remodeling to potently treat bacterial pneumonia. Abstract Bacterial pneumonia treatment is severely hampered by

Orchestrating Ecosystem Resources for Sustainability: Coopetition, Digital Transformation, and Disruptive Sustainable Innovation

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As sustainability transitions accelerate, firms increasingly engage in innovation ecosystems to pursue disruptive sustainable innovation (DSI). Nevertheless, empirical understanding regarding how innovation ecosystem coopetition—simultaneous cooperation and competition among interdependent actors—translates into sustainability‐oriented ...

Phosphorus desorbability in soils with andic properties from the Azores, Portugal Desorção de fósforo em solos com propriedades ândicas do Arquipélago dos Açores (Portugal)

open access: yesRevista de Ciências Agrárias, 2009
Desorbability of phosphorus (P des) at P sorption maxima in eighteen horizons (surface and subsurface) of soils with andic properties from the Azores, Portugal, was determined by eight successive extractions using distilled water (H2O), calcium chloride (

In Vivo Cytoskeletal AMPA Receptor Transport Imaging in C. elegans

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Long‐distance intracellular transport of ionotropic glutamate receptors (iGluRs) is essential for proper excitatory synaptic function underlying learning and memory. Many neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions have abnormal iGluR transport and trafficking, leading to an intense interest in the mechanisms and factors regulating these

Predicting the degree of P saturation of selected Andisols from the Azores (Portugal) by the acidified ammonium oxalate and the Mehlich 3 methods Avaliação do grau de saturação de P nos Andossolos dos Açores (Portugal) pelos métodos do oxalato de amónio e de Mehlich 3

open access: yesRevista de Ciências Agrárias, 2007
Extractable aluminium (Al), iron (Fe), and phosphorus (P) were assessed on twenty eight soil horizons from a representative range of Andisols from the Azores, using the acidified ammonium oxalate method (Alo, Feo and Po) and the Mehlich 3 method (AlM3 ...

Engineering and Characterization of a Fluorescent Fission Yeast Arp2/3 Complex for Single Molecule Mechanistic Investigations

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arp2/3 complex is a seven‐component protein complex that facilitates the assembly of branched actin filament networks by binding to pre‐existing “mother” actin filaments and initiating the nucleation of new branched “daughter” filaments. Arp2/3 complex must be activated by a nucleation promoting factor such as the WASP/Scar protein family. The

Visualizing Specific Tubulin Isotypes and Pathogenic Variants in Cellular Microtubule Arrays

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Eukaryotic cells depend on dynamic microtubule arrays to execute a wide range of functions vital for life. These microtubule filaments are formed through the polymerization of α/β‐tubulin proteins, which can be generated from numerous tubulin genes, or isotypes.

Semi‐analytical solution for the stability of deep vertical shaft considering time‐dependent rock‐structure interaction

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A novel cavity contraction solution and multilayer shaft wall model were developed to analyze deep shaft stability, considering rock viscosity, support structures, and water pressure, with successful validation through a Hulusu Coal Mine case study.
