A flexible micro‐electrocorticography array with PEDOT:SS electrodes is shown to be compatible with ultra‐high magnetic field MRI up to 9.4 T. Multimodal brain monitoring is demonstrated by performing simultaneous blood oxygen level‐dependent functional MRI in parallel with electrophysiology.

Reduced neural activity during volatile anesthesia compared to TIVA: evidence from a novel EEG signal processing analysis [PDF]
Post-operative cognitive decline is a well-known phenomenon and of crucial importance especially in the elderly. General anesthesia can be accomplished by inhalation-based (volatile) or total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA). While their effects on post-operative symptoms have been investigated, little is known about their influence on brain ...

Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.

A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.

Do dental procedures affect lung function and arterial oxygen saturation in asthmatic patients?
Background: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition of the airways. Pain and anxiety triggered by dental treatment can induce the secretion of endogenous catecholamines.

The thermodynamics of general anesthesia [PDF]
It is known that the action of general anesthetics is proportional to their partition coefficient in lipid membranes (Meyer-Overton rule). This solubility is, however, directly related to the depression of the temperature of the melting transition found close to body temperature in biomembranes. We propose a thermodynamic extension of the Meyer-Overton

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.

Enhanced Masked Image Modeling for Analysis of Dental Panoramic Radiographs [PDF]
The computer-assisted radiologic informative report has received increasing research attention to facilitate diagnosis and treatment planning for dental care providers. However, manual interpretation of dental images is limited, expensive, and time-consuming.
