Photocatalytic Isomerization of (E)-Anethole to (Z)-Anethole
Natural product (E)-anethole was isomerized to (Z)-anethole in a photocatalytic reaction. For this purpose, a self-designed cheap photoreactor was constructed. Among 11 photosensitizers (organo and metal complex compounds), Ir(p-tBu-ppy)3 led to the highest conversion.

Trans-Anethole Alleviates Trimethyltin Chloride-Induced Impairments in Long-Term Potentiation
Trans-anethole is an aromatic compound that has been studied for its anti-inflammation, anticonvulsant, antinociceptive, and anticancer effects. A recent report found that trans-anethole exerted neuroprotective effects on the brain via multiple pathways.

The effect of dose size on the metabolism of trans-anethole was investigated in rodents over the dose range 0.05-1500 mg/kg. trans-[methoxy-14C]Anethole was administered to female Wistar rats by gavage and to male CD-1 mice by ip injection. Urine, faeces and 14CO2 in expired air were collected and their 14C content was measured.

STUDY OF REACTION PATHWAY AND KINETIC OF ESTRAGOLE ISOMERIZATION TO CIS-ANETHOLE AND TRANS-ANETHOLE
Estragole isomerization in basic condition resulted cis- and trans-anethole. Hence, there were two reaction pathway of estragole isomerization i.e. parallel and consecutive. The reaction pathway gave information about reaction mechanism. Estragole isomerization was carried out in various kind and volume of solvent, base ratios, and at various time and ...
