Aneurisma venoso gigante de veia ilíaca externa secundário a fístula arteriovenosa traumática: relato de caso Giant external-iliac-vein aneurysm secondary to traumatic arteriovenous fistula: a case report

open access: yesJornal Vascular Brasileiro, 2011
Aneurismas venosos abdominais são raros. Os localizados nas veias ilíacas externas estão entre os mais infrequentes aneurismas venosos publicados na literatura.

Magnetic Field Driven Microrobot Based on Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based magnetic microrobots synergize remote magnetic control with the biocompatibility of flexible hydrogels, emerging as promising tools for minimally invasive biomedicine. This enables remotely controllable, untethered navigation within complex biological microenvironments.

Glucose Deprivation‐Induced Disulfidptosis via the SLC7A11‐INF2 Axis: Pan‐Cancer Prognostic Exploration and Therapeutic Validation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucose deprivation or GLUT1 inhibition induces disulfidptosis in SLC7A11high ovarian cancer cells by promoting cystine accumulation, NADPH/ATP depletion, and F‐actin disulfide formation. SLC7A11 interacts with INF2 to further increase H₂O₂ levels and impair mitochondrial fission, suppressing cell migration. Targeting the SLC7A11–INF2 axis represents a

is often quoted. The clinical diagnosis of botulism is confirmed by injection of the patient’s serum into a laboratory animal, which then shows signs of neurotoxicity. Seven serotypes of the toxin are known, but only types A, B and E have been consistently responsible for botulism in man and trivalent antitoxin directed at these is the treatment of ...

Hypoglycemia Induces Diabetic Macrovascular Endothelial Dysfunction via Endothelial Cell PANoptosis, Macrophage Polarization, and VSMC Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates hypoglycemia‐induced diabetic macrovascular endothelial dysfunction. It reveals that hypoglycemia triggers ZBP1‐dependent PANoptosis of endothelial cells, proinflammatory polarization of macrophages, and fibrosis of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in diabetic mice.

An extracardiac unruptured right sinus of valsalva aneurysm complicated with atherothrombosis

open access: yesEcho Research and Practice, 2016
We present quite a rare case of extracardiac unruptured right sinus of valsalva aneurysm (SVA) complicated with atherothrombosis in a young adult man.

Flow Conditions in the Intracranial Aneurysm Lumen Are Associated with Inflammation and Degenerative Changes of the Aneurysm Wall

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Neuroradiology, 2017
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Saccular intracranial aneurysm is a common disease that may cause devastating intracranial hemorrhage. Hemodynamics, wall remodeling, and wall inflammation have been associated with saccular intracranial aneurysm rupture.

Choroid Plexus Fibroblast–ILC2 Niche Promotes Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis after Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) in the choroid plexus (ChP) following traumatic brain injury (TBI). ILC2 accumulation alleviates immune infiltration, preserves hippocampal integrity, and improves sensory‐motor and memory functions.

Distal anterior cerebral artery aneurysm with bilateral fetal posterior cerebral arteries and trifurcation of anterior cerebral artery

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology, 2020
Developmental vascular anomalies of brain are non-modifiable risk factors for the development of aneurysms and are prone for rupture. We report one such association in a 44–year-old gentleman who succumbed to subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) secondary to ...

PP2Acα Deficiency in Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells Accelerates Aortic Aneurysm and Dissection by Regulating KLF4 Phosphorylation and Ubiquitination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs)‐specific deficiency of PP2Acα exacerbates aortic aneurysm and dissection (AAD) by promoting phenotypic switching through AKT1‐mediated phosphorylation and stabilization of Kruppel‐like factor 4 (KLF4). Reduced PP2Acα enhances KLF4 ubiquitination resistance, suppressing VSMC contractile genes and accelerating aortic ...
