Angiomyolipoma is a benign tumor, usually of the kidney, that is frequently associated with tuberous sclerosis. Extrarenal tumors are rare. Cutaneous lesions have only recently been reported. We report a case of cutaneous angiomyolipoma with results of clinical, histologic, and immunohistochemical evaluation.

We report a case of angiomyolipoma of the penis in a fifty-three-year-old patient. This lesion is rare outside of its usual intrarenal location, and, to our knowledge, has never before been reported to occur in the penis.

An unusual case of a patient with tuberous sclerosis who presented initially with renal symptoms is presented. Electromicroscopic observations showed the smooth muscles to contain myofilaments and an unusual amount of glycogen. Although the response of the tumor vessels to epinephrine in angiomyolipoma is considered similar to that of renal cell ...

Angiomyolipomas (or hamartomas) represent disorganized but mature specialized cells or tissue indigenous to those sites in which they are found. They have been described at a number of disparate sites. Their presence often results in diagnostic confusion and are frequently misdiagnosed as solid tissue malignancies.

Hepatic angiomyolipoma is a rare tumour of the liver. Its behaviour is benign and this paper reports the first case described in Australia. A review of the literature suggests that the use of ultrasonography, computerized tomography and angiography should enable preāoperative diagnosis to be made with relative certainty, yet the difficulties with ...

We report a rare case of angiomyolipoma located in the subcutis on the nose. A 54-year-old female first noticed a small, asymptomatic mass on her nose in 1994 and underwent tumor excision in April 1999. Histopathological examination revealed a typical form of angiomyolipoma, showing a proliferation of mature adipocytes, smooth muscle fascicles, and ...

Intramyocardial Angiomyolipoma
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1994We report a case of cardiac angiomyolipoma in a 48-year-old woman who went to the hospital because of shortness of breath. Cardiac ultrasonography showed a right atrial mass, which was surgically removed. Pathologic examination revealed a 6-cm-diameter, dome-shaped mass composed of a mixture of blood vessels, smooth muscle, and fat.
