A Novel Angle Estimation for mmWave FMCW Radars Using Machine Learning

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2021
In this article, we present a novel machine learning based angle estimation and field of view (FoV) enhancement techniques for mmWave FMCW radars operating in the frequency range of 77 - 81 GHz.

Estimation of angles-of-arrival for wideband sources

ICASSP '84. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
High resolution direction of arrival estimation for multiple wideband sources is discussed in this paper. The proposed method involves two steps. Preliminary estimates of the angles are obtained via an eigendecomposition method such as MUSIC for several non-overlapping bands of frequency.

Doppler angle estimation using correlation

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2000
Conventional Doppler techniques can only detect the axial component of blood flow. To obtain the transverse flow component, an approach based on the dependence of Doppler bandwidth on Doppler angle has been widely investigated. To compute the bandwidth, a full Doppler spectrum is often required.

Estimation of Angles

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1968
In a study designed to test the adequacy of a long-held belief that acute angles are overestimated and obtuse angles underestimated, 20 adult Ss reproduced acute and obtuse angle sizes. The findings challenge this traditional view of angle estimation.

Estimation of Perpendicularity and Laying of Right Angles

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1966
As part of a larger field study, 10 Ss estimated the perpendicularity of a flat wire to an undefined road edge, a string to a flat wire, and the flat wire angularly bent. Differences were found between estimations made without a definite baseline ( M angle = 97.9°) and estimations made with a

Direct Tire Slip Angle Estimation Using Intelligent Tire Equipped With PVDF Sensors

IEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics
Tire slip angle is a vital parameter in vehicle dynamics control. This article proposes a tire slip angle estimation method using intelligent tire technology and machine learning algorithms. First, a finite element model (FEM) of an intelligent tire with

Algorithm of face angle estimation in the image

2013 IEEE 7th International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS), 2013
The localization of the area of interest in face image to recognition is the key task in face recognition system. The face detection problem is first step before face recognition process. The properties of recognition system depend on the quality of processing images and area of face localization.

Standardization of penile angle estimation with a semi-automated algorithm.

Journal of Pediatric Urology, 2021
INTRODUCTION Penile curvature (PC) refers to an abnormal bending of the main longitudinal axis of the penis. It is frequently associated to hypospadias.

Heterogeneous Consistency Loss for Cobb Angle Estimation

Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2021
Cobb angle is the most common quantification of the spine deformity called scoliosis. Recently, automatic Cobb angle estimation has become popular with either semantic segmentation networks or landmark detectors.

Time Delay in Estimation of Angles

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1976
The hypotheses were that a 2-min. delay as opposed to a 2-sec. delay between observation and mechanical estimation of an acute angle will increase the likelihood of overestimation of that angle and that minimal-surround cue-conditions would produce greater overestimation than maximal cue-conditions.
