Direct Position Determination of Multiple Radio Signals

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2005
The most common methods for position determination of radio signal emitters such as communications or radar transmitters are based on measuring a specified parameter such as angle of arrival (AOA) or time of arrival (TOA) of the signal.

Broadband angle of arrival estimation methods in a polynomial matrix decomposition framework

open access: yes, 2013
A large family of broadband angle of arrival estimation algorithms are based on the coherent signal subspace (CSS) method, whereby focussing matrices appropriately align covariance matrices across narrowband frequency bins.

Indoor positioning in 5G new radio: how it works, status quo of research, and the road ahead

open access: yesICT Express
In this paper, the architecture and mechanism of 5G New Radio indoor positioning schemes such as downlink time difference of arrival (DL-TDOA), uplink (UL) TDOA, multiple-cell round trip time (Multi-RTT), DL angle of departure, UL angle of arrival (AOA),

RFID Localization Using Angle of Arrival Cluster Forming

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2014
Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) has been increasingly used to identify and track objects automatically. RFID has also been used to localize tagged objects.

Implementation of accurate broadband steering vectors for broadband angle of arrival estimation

open access: yes, 2013
Motivated by accurate broadband steering vector requirements for applications such as broadband angle of arrival estimation, we review fractional delay filter designs.

A self-learning mean optimization filter to improve bluetooth 5.1 AoA indoor positioning accuracy for ship environments

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2023
As COVID-19 is still spreading globally, the narrow ship space makes COVID-19 easier for the virus to infect ship passengers. Tracking close contacts remains an effective way to reduce the risk of virus transmission.

Two Dimensional Angle of Arrival Estimation

open access: yesCoRR, 2016
We present a new method for the estimation of two dimensional (2D) angles of arrival (AOAs), namely, azimuth and incidence angles of multiple narrowband signals of same frequency in the far field of antenna array.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

A Simple Cross Correlation Switched Beam System (XSBS) for Angle of Arrival Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
We propose a practical, simple and hardware friendly, yet novel and efficient, angle of arrival (AoA) estimation system. Our intuitive, two-phases cross-correlation-based system requires a switched beam antenna array with a single radio frequency ...

Precision Enhancement of Wireless Localization System Using Passive DOA Multiple Sensor Network for Moving Target

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Determining the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of any signal of interest has long been of great interest to the wireless localization research community for military and civilian applications.
