New measurement results for the localization of UHF RFID transponders using an Angle of Arrival (AoA) approach

2011 IEEE International Conference on RFID, 2011
In this paper we present new measurement results for an Angle of Arrival (AoA) approach to localize RFID tags at 868 MHz. Self-designed three element antenna arrays, off-the-shelf IDS R901G RFID reader ICs, and UPM Raflatec DogBone RFID tags are used to generate and detect ISO 18000–6C compliant signals.

A selective model to suppress NLOS signals in angle-of-arrival (AOA) location estimation

Ninth IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (Cat. No.98TH8361), 2002
Angle-of-arrival (AOA) is a key technique in wireless location estimation. The study of AOA becomes very important with the FCC ruling regarding the wireless Enhanced 911 (E911) emergency calling systems. This paper studies the performance of AOA in a cellular environment.
