The word angle may conjure up several thoughts—a corner, two rays and a vertex, or a degree measure. But what about the idea of a turn (a rotation around a fixed point) or of the space between two rays, and what exactly is a degree? Many upper-elementary students have such limited notions of angle that they struggle to provide an appropriate ...

Relation of the SNA angle to the saddle angle
American Journal of Orthodontics, 1980The degree of the individual facial prognathism, considering the relationship between the SNA and NSAr angles, was studied in a sample of forty-two children with Class I (Angle) malocclusion. A definite relationship was found between the NSAr and SNA angles.

Summary A patient's observation led us to investigate whether drinking from a champagne flute required more cranio‐cervical extension than drinking from other types of wine glasses. We measured the cranio‐cervical extension required by normal volunteers to drink from four different types of glass.

Angling as a source of non-native freshwater fish: a European review
In a context of the growing concern about the impact of biological invasions, our objective is to review the role of those non-native species that have primarily been introduced for angling purposes in at least one European country.

In a study designed to test the adequacy of a long-held belief that acute angles are overestimated and obtuse angles underestimated, 20 adult Ss reproduced acute and obtuse angle sizes. The findings challenge this traditional view of angle estimation.

The equivalence of Side-Angle-Side and Side-Angle-Angle in the absolute plane
Journal of Geometry, 2010The following abstract of the author summarizes, nicely, content of the paper: ``Following the approach of G. D. Birkhoff, we develop a new axiom system for a continuous absolute plane. In this new axiom system we remove Side-Angle-Side as an axiom and replace it with Side-Angle-Angle as a new axiom.

Because the anatomy of the costovertebral angle is complex and often unfamiliar to the operating thoracic surgeon, surgical procedures performed in that area must be performed by a surgical team rather than by individual surgeons, and such a team usually includes either an orthopedic surgeon or a neurosurgeon. This is the case, for example, of Pancoast'
