Application of lagrange equations for a rotating system with angular misalignment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
El desbalanceo del motor y el desalineamiento son las causas principales de la generación de vibraciones en las máquinas rotativas. Estos problemas ocasionan daños en los rodamientos, árbol de transmisión y acoples.

Paraxial orbital angular momentum beam under misaligned detection

open access: yesOptics Express
This work presents an analytical framework for modeling a detected orbital angular momentum (OAM) spectrum of a Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beam subject to tilt and lateral displacement. Firstly, we demonstrate that both types of misalignment generate OAM sidebands governed by the same functional form, each characterized by a distinct dimensionless ...

Role of Liquid Composition in the Transient Liquid Assisted Growth of Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7‐δ Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The Y supersaturation in the [Ba‐Cu(I/II)‐O] transient liquid composition is the driving force toward YBCO nucleation and growth in TLAG. Tuning the initial (Ba:Cu) molar ratio in the ink composition determines the YBCO epitaxial nucleation through supersaturation control.

Inductively powered wireless pacing via a miniature pacemaker and remote stimulation control system

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Pacemakers have existed for decades as a means to restore cardiac electrical rhythms. However, lead-related complications have remained a clinical challenge. While market-released leadless devices have addressed some of the issues, their pacer-integrated

Resolving the Structural Duality of Graphene Grain Boundaries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Cantilever ncAFM resolves the atomic structure of grain boundaries in graphene, revealing coexisting stable and metastable types. Both contain pentagon/heptagon defects, but metastable GBs show irregular geometries. Modeling shows metastable GBs form under compression, exhibiting vertical corrugation, while stable GBs are flat.

The Load Distribution of the Main Shaft Bearing Considering Combined Load and Misalignment in a Floating Direct-Drive Wind Turbine

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
The main shaft tapered double-inner ring bearing (TDIRB) of floating direct-drive wind turbine system (FDDWT) is one of the most critical components in FDDWT, and its failure accounts for a large proportion of wind turbine malfunctions and faults.

Efficiency Assessment of Induction Motors Drives Operating Under Shaft Misalignment Conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2020
Historically, the negative effects of misalignment between the motor shaft and the load on the electric drives are well known. Vibrations, loss of life of couplings and deterioration of efficiency are some of these effects. Regarding this last point, the

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.
