Tailoring Li‐ion Storage and Transport in Two‐Dimensional Conjugated Metal‐Organic Frameworks via Precise Nitrogen Incorporation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two nitrogen‐doped 2D conjugated metal‐organic frameworks (2D c‐MOFs, namely Cu‐Nx‐OHBA, x = 2 or 4) are synthesized, featuring precise nitrogen incorporation via rational ligand design. The Cu‐Nx‐OHBA 2D c‐MOFs are largely tailorable by varying skeletal nitrogen density, with respect to electrical conductivity, Li‐storage capacitance, and Li‐transport

Misalignment-Resilient Propagation Model for Underwater Optical Wireless Links

open access: yesSensors, 2022
This paper proposes a multiple-lens receiver scheme to increase the misalignment tolerance of an underwater optical wireless communications link between an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and a sensor plane.

Angular misalignment contribution to practical heterodyne lidars in the turbulent atmosphere

open access: yesOptics Express, 2003
The simulation of beam propagation is used to examine the sensitivity to misalignments of a practical heterodyne lidar because of the presence of refractive turbulence. At shorter wavelengths, and under general atmospheric conditions, the performance of a realistic instrument is never well described by either of the ideal monostatic and bistatic ...

Power Coupling Between Two Step-Index Multimode Fibers of Different Numerical Apertures with an Angular Misalignment

open access: yes, 2004
Coupling efficiency between two step- index multimode fibers of different numerical aper- tures with an angular misalignment is calculated. The theory is presented using radiometry and geometrical optics.

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Twin Crystal Moiré Metasurfaces for Crossing Flat‐Band Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces twin crystal moiré metasurfaces, breaking in‐plane symmetry to enable reconfigurable acoustic wave manipulation. By adjusting the twin angle and interlayer twist angle, various combinations of hyperbolic, flat bands, and elliptic states can be synthesized in the system.

Analysis of orbital angular momentum of a misaligned optical beam

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2005
We report an analysis of the orbital angular momentum of an optical beam misaligned with respect to a reference axis. Both laterally displaced and angularly deflected Laguerre–Gaussian beams are represented in terms of the superposition of azimuthal harmonics with well-defined orbital angular momentum.

Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Figure of merit for the optimization of wireless power transfer system against misalignment tolerance

open access: yes, 2016
Optimization of wireless power transfer (WPT) systems with high performance and misalignment tolerance is investigated in this paper. Key performance indices of WPT are power transfer efficiency (PTE), transferred power (TP), and misalignment tolerance ...

Coaxially Electrospun Myocardial dECM‐ Based Nanofibrous Scaffolds Demonstrate Enhanced Cardiomyocyte Biocompatibility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.
