Protic Ionic Liquid‐Mediated Liquid‐Phase Exfoliation of Titanium Disulfide for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction Reaction

A green and highly efficient liquid‐phase exfoliation technology is reported to produce TiS2 nanosheets from a corresponding bulk powder in protic ionic liquid‐ γ‐valerolactone solution under ambient conditions, and the exfoliation yield is up to 35.5%.

Synthesis and Characterization of π‐Extended Azulenes via Nucleophilic Substitution and Intramolecular Cyclization of 5‐Alkynyl‐6‐Fluoroazulenes

A modular synthetic approach enables the preparation of azulene‐fused heterocycles via nucleophilic aromatic substitution followed by intramolecular cyclization of alkynyl fluoroazulenes. The method allows the incorporation of various heteroatoms (N, O, S, Se, and Te), leading to structurally diverse heteroannulated azulenes.

Synthesis of α‐Pentafluorosulfanylated‐β2,3‐Amino Esters

De novo α‐SF5‐β2,3‐amino esters are now accessible through a straightforward aza‐Michael reaction using a series of newly developed (E)‐α‐SF5‐α,β‐unsaturated esters. Two new, highly functionalized, contiguous tertiary stereocenters are formed with diastereodivergence governed by the choice of solvent and/or base.

Exploration of the Interconversion of Uranium Anilido and Imido Species

Exploring the reactivity of the trivalent U(NHDIPP)5K2(THF)4 (1) leads to the formation of uranium imido complexes. Treating 1 with 18c6 causes spontaneous oxidation and the formation of [U(NDIPP)(NHDIPP)4][K(18c6)(THF)]2 (2). Oxidation of 1 or 2 results in the formation of U(NDIPP)2(NHDIPP)2 (3).
