Production of single cell protein from manure as animal feed by using photosynthetic bacteria
To reduce the cost of protein feedstock for animal feed, the use of single cell protein (SCP) produced from waste of animal agriculture is an interesting choice.

Bone‐wise rigid registration of femur, tibia, and fibula for the tracking of temporal changes
Abstract Background Multiple myeloma (MM) induces temporal alterations in bone structure, such as osteolytic bone lesions, which are challenging to identify through manual image interpretation. The large variation in radiologists' assessments, even at expert centers, further complicates diagnosis.

Language-Guided Face Animation by Recurrent StyleGAN-based Generator [PDF]
Recent works on language-guided image manipulation have shown great power of language in providing rich semantics, especially for face images. However, the other natural information, motions, in language is less explored. In this paper, we leverage the motion information and study a novel task, language-guided face animation, that aims to animate a ...

The exploration of new food sources and natural products is the result of the increase in world population as well as the need for a healthier diet; in this context, microalgae are undoubtedly an interesting solution.

Abstract Purpose This study evaluates the technical feasibility of adapting a surface monitoring system, designed for conventional four‐dimensional computed tomography (4DCT), to an intelligent, breathing‐adapted 4DCT and examines its potential to expand the currently limited range of supported surrogate systems.

Waves of seed propagation induced by delayed animal dispersion [PDF]
We study a model of seed dispersal that considers the inclusion of an animal disperser moving diffusively, feeding on fruits and transporting the seeds, which are later deposited and capable of germination. The dynamics depends on several population parameters of growth, decay, harvesting, transport, digestion and germination.

1. Enzymes have been used commercially for nearly 40 years and save significant costs through sparing of expensive nutrients but the mechanism by which this is achieved is still debated. 2.

ABSTRACTObjectiveCerebrospinal fluid (CSF) orexin‐A has been suggested to be a biomarker of Alzheimer disease (AD). In both cognitively unimpaired healthy older adults and individuals with symptomatic AD, CSF orexin‐A is positively associated with CSF Aβ42, p‐tau181, and total tau (t‐tau) concentrations.

Biorefinery of the green seaweed Ulva lactuca to produce animal feed, chemicals and biofuels
The growing world population demands an increase in animal protein production. Seaweed may be a valuable source of protein for animal feed. However, a biorefinery approach aimed at cascading valorisation of both protein and non-protein seaweed ...
