In spinal degenerative disease, an injectable liquid hydrogel can fill in defect entirely, lessen the danger of implant relocation and following loss of disc height, minimizing the operative trauma. Here, we propose an injectable in-situ chemically cross-

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Resilient food solutions to prevent mass famine during a nuclear winter in Argentina
A nuclear war, a volcanic eruption, or the impact of an asteroid or comet can reduce the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth's surface, upon which the global food system depends.

Co-evolution and networks adaptation. [PDF]
What is the role of co-evolution in the adaptation of a population of firms to a hostile environment ? To answer this question, we revisit network sociology starting from Kauffman s biological computer model.

An economic cross-diffusion mutualistic model for cities emergence
We study an evolution cross-diffusion problem with mutualistic Lotka-Volterra reaction term to modelize the long-term spatial distribution of labor and capital. The mutualistic behavior is deduced from the gradient flow associated to profits maximization.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Influence of distance habitat, and memory on animal relocation patterns
Animal movement paths are the result of a confluence of pattern-generating forces. Numerous hypotheses relate animal relocation patterns to one factor, but interactions among variables have seldom been examined, nor have a cosmopolitan host of such models been allowed to compete on common ground.

Novel Bio-Logging Tool for Studying Fine-Scale Behaviors of Marine Turtles in Response to Sound
Increases in the spatial scale and intensity of activities that produce marine anthropogenic sound highlight the importance of understanding the impacts and effects of sound on threatened species such as marine turtles.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...
