Systemic effects of sunlight: 10‐year review of cardiovascular, infection and cancer outcomes

This review highlights the systemic effects of sunlight and ultraviolet radiation. While UV radiation exposure has known cutaneous risks including photoaging and skin cancer, evidence suggests potential associations with reduced all‐cause mortality, improved infectious disease outcomes and reduced blood pressure.

Developmental stage ordering yields greater cranial mineralization sequence resolution than embryo size or days since oviposition: A case study using the gekkotan Eublepharis macularius (Blyth, 1854)

We employ a set of leopard gecko embryos for which size, day of development, and developmental stage are known to assess which timetable accords with the greatest resolution of cranial mineralization events. ABSTRACT This article traces the transformation of global development from a discourse of aspirational equality to a regime of posthumanitarian militarism. It shows how aid, once framed as solidarity and progress, increasingly operates as an instrument of coercion, surveillance, and containment.
