Electroless metallization of organic polymers using the polymer as a redox reagent: Reaction of polyimide with zintl anions

Thin Solid Films, 1983
Abstract A facile general scheme for the metallization of polyimides (PIm) and certain other organic polymers is presented. The driving force for the metallization is the extremely strong reducing power of the polyatomic main group anions, the so-called Zintl anions. The polymide can be metallized with many main group elements ( e.g. germanium, tin,

Modulating Anion‐Reinforced Solvation Chemistry for Stable Anionic Redox Reaction in High‐Voltage Sodium‐Ion Batteries

Advanced Energy Materials
ABSTRACT High‐voltage sodium‐ion batteries employing layered oxide cathodes (e.g., P2‐type Na 0.66 Li 0.22 Mn 0.78 O 2 ) face challenges of interfacial ...

Passivation Studies using Group VIA Anions: IV Cathodic redox reactions and film formation

British Corrosion Journal, 1984
Abstract The incidence of inflections on the cathodic polarisation curve for tin and zinc in chromate, molybdate and tungstate solutions has been examined. The occurrence of lower valency ions in molybdate films has been attributed to a possible electrochemical reduction process.

Constructing Oxygen Vacancy to Stable Anionic Redox Reaction for High Energy Sodium Battery

Advanced Energy Materials
AbstractConstructing heterostructure for synergistic effect plays an indispensable role in enhancing the energy density and cycling stability of layered oxide for sodium‐ion batteries. However, the mechanisms of heterostructure formation and synergistic effects remain inadequately understood.
