Adsorção e dessorção aniônicas individuais por gibbsita pedogenética Individual anionic adsorption and desorption by pedogenic gibbsite

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2009
Anion adsorption/desorption dynamics was studied as individual processes on surface of particles of a gibbsitic clay. The data suggest a remarkable gibbsite role as nitrate leaching retardant in soil.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Ultracold water cluster anions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Attachment of free electrons to water clusters embedded in helium droplets leads to watercluster anions (H2O)(n)(-) and (D2O)(n)(-) of size n \u3e= 2.

Molecular Adsorbing Host•Guest (MAHG) Crystals: A New Paradigm for Porous Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Networking! Introduction of guest molecules in macrocycles before crystallization profoundly influences the material obtained in terms of structure and function. Beside simplicity and porous space improvement, this approach is endowed with a huge potential given the myriad of potential guest molecules that can be used to tune this burgeoning class of ...

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Applying Carbon Dots-Metal Ions Ensembles as a Multichannel Fluorescent Sensor Array: Detection and Discrimination of Phosphate Anions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) are attracting much attention in sensing recently thanks to their superior optical properties and abundant surface functional groups. To take further advantages of these unique features, CDs are considered to be possible for

A Review of the Molecular Aggregation of Small-Molecule Anion Sensors for Environmental Contaminates in Aqueous Media

open access: yesSustainable Chemistry
A primary challenge in the further development of anion sensors in real water samples of environmental concern is the need for highly water-soluble compounds that are able to detect low concentrations of analytes.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Thiourea-based Rotaxanes Transport Anions across Membranes of Different Fluidity [PDF]

open access: yes
We report the synthesis of two rotaxanes (1 and 2) whose rings have appended thiourea units for the selective recognition of Cl− anions. Two-dimensional exchange spectroscopy indicates the ring can shuttle much faster within rotaxanes featuring an axle ...
