Design of concrete beam reinforced with GFRP bars as per ACI codal provisions [PDF]
This document provides design principles for concrete beams reinforced with glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars per the ACI 440.1R-15 regulation. One of the main advantages of using glass fiber reinforced polymer rods instead of traditional steel ...

A NumericalInvestigation for a Class of Transient-State Variable Coefficient DCR Equations
In this paper, a combined Laplace transform (LT) and boundary element method (BEM) is used to find numerical solutions to problems of anisotropic functionally graded media that are governed by the transient diffusion–convection–reaction equation.

Anisotropic thermophoresis [PDF]
The thermophoretic force on an elongated colloid oriented with the temperature gradient can be larger or smaller than when oriented perpendicular to it. This anisotropy can translate into a non-vanishing thermophoretic force in the direction perpendicular to the temperature gradient.

Anisotropic Picone identities and anisotropic Hardy inequalities [PDF]
In this paper, we derive an anisotropic Picone identity for the anisotropic Laplacian, which contains some known Picone identities. As applications, a Sturmian comparison principle to the anisotropic elliptic equation and an anisotropic Hardy type inequality are shown.

An Anisotropic Model for the Universe [PDF]
Motivated by the back-reaction debate, and some unexplained characteristics of the CMB, we investigate the possibility of some anisotropy in the universe observed around us. To this aim, we build up a novel prediction for the Hubble law for the late universe from a Bianchi type I model, taken as proof of concept, transcribing the departure of such ...

The evolution of time-dependent Λ and G in multi-fluid Bianchi type-I cosmological models
In this work, cosmological solutions based on the time-dependent cosmological (Λ\Lambda ) and Newtonian (GG) running “constants” in the Bianchi type-I spacetime are investigated vis-à-vis known cosmological data. The observationally known values of Ωm,Ωr{

Bianchi type–I Model with Time Varying Λ and G: The Generalized Solution
In this paper, we have investigated the homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type–I cosmological model with a time-varying Newtonian and cosmological constant.
