Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Workflow for Transmission Electron Microscopy: From Data Analysis Automation to Materials Knowledge Unveiling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AI‐Assisted Workflow for (Scanning) Transmission Electron Microscopy: From Data Analysis Automation to Materials Knowledge Unveiling. Abstract (Scanning) transmission electron microscopy ((S)TEM) has significantly advanced materials science but faces challenges in correlating precise atomic structure information with the functional properties of ...

Regularity for anisotropic quasi-linear parabolic equations with variable growth

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
In this article, we study a class of anisotropic quasi-linear parabolic equations with variable exponents. Following DiBenedetto's intrinsic scaling method, we prove local continuity of solutions under the condition for which only local boundedness ...

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

A Cu‐Based Near‐IR Active MOF with an Ion‐Pair Guest Exhibiting Versatile and Selective Gas‐Solid Reactivity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

On the result of He concerning the smoothness of solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
We improve the regularity criterion for the Navier-Stokes equations proved by He [4]. We show that for the Cauchy problem the Leray-Hopf weak solution is smooth provided $ abla u_3 in L^t(0,T;L^s)$, $frac 2t + frac 3s leq frac 32$.

Optoacoustic model-based inversion using anisotropic adaptive total-variation regularization

open access: yesPhotoacoustics, 2019
In optoacoustic tomography, image reconstruction is often performed with incomplete or noisy data, leading to reconstruction errors. Significant improvement in reconstruction accuracy may be achieved in such cases by using nonlinear regularization schemes, such as total-variation minimization and $L_1$-based sparsity-preserving schemes.

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Porous Hybrid Soft Actuators From Liquid Crystal Networks and Lyotropic Chromonic Liquid Crystal Templated Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The graphic illustrates the design of a hybrid bilayer composed of a liquid crystal hydrogel (LCH) and a liquid crystal network (LCN). The figure highlights the magnetic alignment of the chromonic hydrogel and the thermal‐responsive actuation of the LCN along with the LCH when both layers are aligned or misaligned, enabling programmable, light‐driven ...

Control-translated Finsler-type structure and anisotropic Ginzburg-Landau models

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
This paper develops a geometric and analytical extension of the Finsler-Ginzburg-Landau framework by introducing a distributed control field acting as a translation in the tangent bundle.

Signatures of Edge States in Antiferromagnetic Van der Waals Josephson Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The combination of superconductivity and magnetic textures leads to unconventional superconducting phenomena, including new correlated and topological phases. Van der Waals (vdW) materials emerge as a versatile platform for exploring the interplay between these two competing orders.
