A Morphological and Cytological Assessment of Paradoxia and Ankyra (Chlorococcales, Chlorophyceae)

An unnamed species of the unicellular planktonic alga Ankyra (Chlorophyceae, Chlorococcales), isolated from the English Lake District and maintained in clonal culture, has been examined morphologically by light and electron microscopy, and an account of its microanatomy prepared.
