Investigating the effect of personality traits on sensitivity, annoyance and loudness perception due to exposure to high frequency noise

open access: yesبهداشت و ایمنی کار, 2020
Introduction: Although noise characteristics such as intensity and frequency are the main cause of detrimental effects, it is important to pay attention to the personality traits of individuals as the host of adverse health effects. The aim of this study

Taking into account nighttime annoyance in the calculation of the psophic index [PDF]

open access: yes
The annoyance factor caused by air traffic noise on the residents of areas near airports is discussed. The psophic index is used to predict the level of overall annoyance suffered on the average by residents around airports.

Skin‐Interfaced Therapeutic Patches for Wound Fluid Management and Transdermal Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents an integrated skin‐interfaced device combining microfluidics, hydrogel film technology, flexible electronics, and iontophoresis‐based transdermal delivery of PDRN to enhance wound healing. The device effectively manages wound fluid, maintains optimal moisture, and non‐invasively delivers therapeutic drugs.

Effect of attitudinal, situational and demographic factors on annoyance due to environmental vibration and noise from construction of a light rapid transit system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The aim of this paper is to determine what non-exposure factors influence the relationship between vibration and noise exposure from the construction of a Light Rapid Transit (LRT) system and the annoyance of nearby residents.

Evaluation of the Dual Impact of Nanotechnologies on Health and Environment Through Alternative Bridging Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores how alternative invertebrate and small‐vertebrate models advance the evaluation of nanomaterials across medicine and environmental science. By bridging cellular and organismal levels, these models enable integrated assessment of toxicity, biodistribution, and therapeutic performance.

Thermo‐Fluorescent Bactericidal Quantum Dots Based Smart Multifunctional Textiles via Molecular Surface Engineering and 3D‐Printed Interlocked Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.
