Corn silage supplementation for sheep eating annual ryegrass

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2018
Food intake is determinant in the production process and can be modified when more than one type of forage is supplied in the diet. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of supplementation with corn silage + soybean meal (9:1 based on DM) in ...

Annual and hybrid ryegrass cultivars in New Zealand

open access: yesProceedings of the New Zealand Grassland Association, 1997
Results are presented for 16 National Forage Variety Trials of annual and short-term hybrid ryegrass cultivars conducted in Waikato, Taranaki, Manawatu, Canterbury and Southland. In all, 30 cultivars (17 named, 13 experimental) were included. Cultivar effects were significant in all seasons, and for the annual totals. Cultivar differences were greatest

Glyphosate resistance in annual ryegrass (Lolium rigidum Gaud.) with multiple resistance mechanisms.

open access: yes, 2010
Glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine) is a post-emergent, systemic and non-selective herbicide for the control of annual and perennial weeds. This herbicide has very low toxicity to the mammals.

Assessment of the Efficiency of Combined Seeding Rates of Common Vetch and Ryegrass for Controlling Weed Development in Organic Forage Cultivation Systems

open access: yesLife
Weed suppression is a crucial factor in sustainable agriculture, and optimizing plant mixtures can enhance weed control efficiency. This study evaluates the effects of different mixture ratios of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) and annual ryegrass (Lolium
