Positive radial solutions of p-Laplace equations with nonlinear gradient terms on annular domains

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
This paper discusses the existence of positive radial solutions for the boundary value problem of p-Laplace equation with nonlinear gradient ...

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Advanced characterization-informed machine learning framework and quantitative insight to irradiated annular U-10Zr metallic fuels

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
U-10Zr Metal fuel is a promising nuclear fuel candidate for next-generation sodium-cooled fast spectrum reactors. Since the Experimental Breeder Reactor-II in the late 1960s, researchers accumulated a considerable amount of experience and knowledge on ...

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

A Kansa-RBF method for Poisson problems in annular domains [PDF]

open access: yesWIT Transactions on Modelling and Simulation, 2014
We employ a Kansa-radial basis function (RBF) method for Poisson boundary value problems in annular domains. This discretization leads, for any choice of RBF, to linear system matrices possessing block circulant structures. The linear systems can be solved efficiently using Matrix Decomposition Algorithms (MDAs).

Sloshing of Liquid in Rigid Cylindrical Container with a Rigid Annular Baffle. Part I: Free Vibration

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2012
An analytical approach is presented to obtain the sloshing natural frequencies and modes of ideal liquid in a rigid cylindrical container with a rigid annular baffle. The free surface waves of the liquid are considered in the analysis.

Emerging experimental and computational methods for studying redox‐regulated structural transitions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Redox reactions can reshape proteins and alter how they behave in cells, with important consequences for health and disease. This review explores emerging experimental and computational approaches for discovering these redox‐sensitive protein switches, revealing their structural effects, and predicting their behavior, opening new opportunities to ...

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.
