Corrosion behaviour of brazing material AA4343 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper is part of a work devoted to corrosion of brazed AA4343/AA3003/AA4343 materials on water side of automotive heater cores. The microstructure of the superficial resolidified AA4343 brazing material has been previously characterised [1] and [2].

Engineering Strategies for Stable and Long‐Life Alkaline Zinc‐Based Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Alkaline zinc‐based flow batteries face persistent challenges from unstable zinc deposition, including dendrite growth, passivation, corrosion, and hydrogen evolution, which severely limit cycling stability. Current research addresses these issues through coordinated electrode structuring, electrolyte regulation, and membrane design to control zinc ...

Alkali metal carbon dioxide electrochemical system for energy storage and/or conversion of carbon dioxide to oxygen [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
An alkali metal, such as lithium, is the anodic reactant; carbon dioxide or a mixture of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide is the cathodic reactant; and carbonate of the alkali metal is the electrolyte in an electrochemical cell for the storage and ...

Modelling the corrosion behaviour of Al2CuMg coarse particles in copper-rich aluminium alloys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The corrosion behaviour of 2024 aluminium alloy in sulphate solutions was studied; attention was focused on the influence of coarse intermetallic Al2CuMg particles on the corrosion resistance of the alloy.

Single‐ and Dual‐Atom Configurations in Atomically Dispersed Catalysts for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐atom and dual‐atom‐based atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) effectively address the shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics in Li–S batteries. With nearly 100% atomic utilization and tunable coordination environments, ADCs enhance LiPSs adsorption, lower conversion barriers, and accelerate sulfur redox reactions.

Localized approach to galvanic coupling in an aluminum–magnesium system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The corrosion behavior of a pure aluminum/pure magnesium couple in a weakly conductive sodium sulfate solution was investigated. Potential and current distributions on the surface of the model couple at the beginning of immersion were obtained by solving

Thermally Engineered Sodium‐Embedded Alumina with Programmable Synaptic Plasticity for Neuromorphic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

Oxidation of the borohydride Ion at silver nanoparticles on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) using pulsed potential techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Direct oxidation borohydride fuel cells are very attractive energy conversion devices. Silver has been reported as one of the few materials which can catalyze an 8-electron oxidation.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Atomic layer deposition of ZnS nanotubes

open access: yes, 2009
We report on growth of high-aspect-ratio ($\gtrsim300$) zinc sulfide nanotubes with variable, precisely tunable, wall thicknesses and tube diameters into highly ordered pores of anodic alumina templates by atomic layer deposition (ALD) at temperatures as
