Note on higher-group structure in 6d self-dual gauge theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We analyze higher-group structure of a 6d model coupled with a self-dual 2-form gauge field. This model is defined from 6d axion-electrodynamics with a 1-form Chern-Weil(CW) symmetry gauged dynamically.

Quantum Statistics and Spacetime Topology: Quantum Surgery Formulas

open access: yes, 2019
To formulate the universal constraints of quantum statistics data of generic long-range entangled quantum systems, we introduce the geometric-topology surgery theory on spacetime manifolds where quantum systems reside, cutting and gluing the associated ...

Global symmetries and 't Hooft anomalies in brane tilings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate the relation between gauge theories and brane configurations described by brane tilings. We identify U(1)_B (baryonic), U(1)_M (mesonic), and U(1)_R global symmetries in gauge theories with gauge symmetries in the brane configurations.

The Role of Microbiota Metabolites Propionic Acid, p‐Cresol, and 4‐Ethylphenyl Sulfate in Autism Susceptibility: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The etiopathogenesis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) encompasses complex interactions between genetic and environmental risk factors. The high prevalence of gastrointestinal disorders in autistic individuals has propelled a growing interest in the possible involvement of gut dysbiosis in ASD pathogenesis.

Anomaly Cancellations and String Symmetries in the Effective Field Theory

open access: yes, 1994
This contribution briefly describes some developments of the use of string symmetries and anomaly cancellation mechanisms to include string loop corrections in the construction of the low-energy effective supergravity of superstrings. (Presented at the 27th International Conference on High Energy Physics, Glasgow, July 1994)

Exact Models of Extremal Dyonic 4D Black Hole Solutions of Heterotic String Theory

open access: yes, 1994
Families of exact $(0,2)$ supersymmetric conformal field theories of magnetically and electrically charged extremal 4D black hole solutions of heterotic string theory are presented. They are constructed using a $(0,1)$ supersymmetric $SL(2,R)\times SU(2)$

Governance Composition, Gender Diversity, and Regional Context as Performance Drivers in Italian Innovative Start‐Ups

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Innovative start‐ups play a crucial role in promoting innovation and economic growth, while also contributing to technological competitiveness. This study analyzes the factors influencing the economic performance of these start‐ups, focusing on governance aspects and corporate resources, with particular attention to team composition, company ...

The Green-Schwarz mechanism and geometric anomaly relations in 2d (0,2) F-theory vacua

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We study the structure of gauge and gravitational anomalies in 2d N = (0, 2) theories obtained by compactification of F-theory on elliptically fibered Calabi-Yau 5-folds. Abelian gauge anomalies, induced at 1-loop in perturbation theory, are cancelled by

The A(I) Team: Effects of Human‐Likeness and Conformity to Gender Stereotypes on Initial Trust and Willingness to Work With an AI Teammate

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As artificial intelligence (AI) technologies progress, AI agents arise as potential teammates in the workplace. This study explores how the visual representation of the AI agent as well as its conformity to traditional gender stereotypes affects the manifestation of uncanny valley effects in a workplace team context.

Anomaly interplay in U(2) gauge theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We discuss anomaly cancellation in U(2) gauge theories in four dimensions. For a U(2) gauge theory defined with a spin structure, the vanishing of the bordism group Ω 5 Spin $$ {\Omega}_5^{\mathrm{Spin}} $$ (BU(2)) implies that there can be no global ...
