We study the renormalization of the nonlinear realization of the SU(2) Higgs model in the modified minimal subtraction renormalization scheme. We propose that the effective field method with truncated operator series is trustworthy even when the Higgs ...

Testing the Higgs boson gluonic couplings at LHC [PDF]
We study Higgs + jet production at hadron colliders in order to look for new physics residual effects possibly described by the $dim=6$ operators ${\O}_{GG}$ and ${\widetilde\O}_{GG}$ which induce anomalous $Hgg$ and $Hggg$ couplings.

This article demonstrates that assimilating machine‐learning‐derived surface nitrate can improve five‐day phytoplankton forecast substantially within the Met Office operational system for the Northwest European Shelf. We explain the reasons behind this improvement and propose that an online system where machine learning and data assimilation are cycled

Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

Anomalous Higgs Couplings at the LHC
We discuss the impact and potential discovery of physics beyond the Standard Model, coupling to the Higgs sector, at the LHC. Using a model-independent effective Lagrangian approach, pure Higgs and Higgs-gauge operators are analyzed, and their origin in terms of tree-level exchange of unknown heavy messengers is systematically derived.

Constraining the anomalous Higgs boson coupling in ${\bf H+\gamma} $ production
Higgs boson production in association with a photon ($H$+$\gamma$) offers a promising channel to test the Higgs boson to photon coupling at various energy scales. Its potential sensitivity to anomalous couplings of the Higgs boson has not been explored with the proton-proton collision data.

Simulation-based inference in the search for CP violation in leptonic WH production
Sources of CP violation beyond the Standard Model (BSM) are required to explain the baryonic asymmetry of the Universe. In this work, we study BSM CP-violating components in the HWW interaction in WH production, parametrized by an effective dimension-6 ...

In Twin Higgs models the dominant source of fine-tuning is the cancellation of order v 2 /f 2 required to obtain a Standard Model-like Higgs, where v and f are the electroweak and new physics scales, respectively.

The making of novel ecosystems: A process‐based framework for measurement, analysis and application
Abstract Ecological novelty is emerging rapidly due to global change drivers such as climate shifts, species introductions, defaunation, and land‐use transformation. These changes challenge how we assess, understand and manage ecosystems in the Anthropocene.
