Anomalous Viscosity due to Drift Wave Turbulence
"Anomalous ion, electron viscosities and off-diagonal elements of transport matrix in the presence of low frequency microturbulence are calculated. Quasilinear theory is used in the electrostatic limit.

2D α‐Co(OH)2 interleaved with Mo species displays an appealing dual functionality for the production and use of green hydrogen.Mo incorporation greatly benefits the electrochemical behaviour in Oxygen Evolution Reaction for H2 production, while the magnetocaloric response at liquid H2 temperature paves the way for alternative cryogenic refrigerants ...

Anomalous radiation loss ofcurved dielectric ridge waveguides
The radiation loss of curved ridge dielectric waveguides can show an oscillatory dependence on radius for the TM-polarisation. This effect is predicted only by a three-dimensional full vectorial analysis and is confirmed experimentally in S-bend dielectric ridge waveguides.

Tax-Loss Trading and Wash Sales [PDF]
An analysis of trades in the Finnish stock market around the turn of the year shows that Finnish investors tend to realize losses more than gains towards the end of December.

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

Rapid glutamate receptor 2 trafficking during retinal degeneration
Background Retinal degenerations, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinitis pigmentosa (RP), are characterized by photoreceptor loss and anomalous remodeling of the surviving retina that corrupts visual processing and poses a barrier ...

Giant Orbital Rashba–Edelstein Effect in Crystalline Cu2O/Cu Heterostructures
An enhanced orbital Rashba–Edelstein effect is demonstrated in a crystalline Cu2O/Cu heterostructure, compared to naturally oxidized CuOx structures, highlighting the critical role of crystallinity and interface control in orbital torque generation. The resulting spin torque conductivity exceeds that of Pt, indicating the potential of orbital torque ...

Statistical Analysis of Anomalous Transport in Resistive Interchange Turbulence
A new anomalous transport model for resistive interchange turbulence is derived from statistical analysis applying two-scale direct-interaction approximation to resistive magnetohydrodynamic equations with a gravity term.
