Advanced Characterization of the Spatial Variation of Moiré Heterostructures and Moiré Excitons

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
In this review, the authors discuss recent advanced tools to characterize and understand the effects of spatial variation and inhomogeneities in moiré heterostructures over multiple length scales. Emphasis is placed on correlating the impact of twist angle misalignment, nano‐scale disorder, and atomic relaxation on the moiré potential and moiré ...

Natural split mechanism for sfermions: N=2 supersymmetry in phenomenology

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We suggest a natural split mechanism for sfermions based on N=2 supersymmetry (SUSY). N=2 SUSY protects a sfermion in an N=2 multiplet from gaining weight by SUSY breaking.

In‐Situ Monitoring the Magnetotransport Signature of Topological Transitions in a Chiral Magnet

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
The connection between magnetotransport and high‐resolution magnetic imaging is established by simultaneously monitoring magnetotransport properties and conducting in‐situ Lorentz Transmission Electron Microscopy. Ex‐situ approaches necessitated separate specimens, resulting in ambiguous correlations due to sample differences.

Photon-photon fusion and tau g-2 measurement in ATLAS

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings
Relativistic heavy-ion beams at the LHC are accompanied by a large flux of equivalent photons. New measurements of exclusive dilepton production (electron, muon, and tau pairs) performed by the ATLAS experiment are discussed.

LHC 750 GeV diphoton excess and muon (g−2)

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We consider implications of the diphoton excess recently observed at the LHC on the anomalous magnetic dipole moment of the muon (g−2)μ=2aμ, hypothesizing that the possible 750 GeV resonance is a (pseudo)scalar particle ϕ(∼).

Flavor-changing decay h → τ μ at super hadron colliders

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We study the flavor-changing decay h → τ μ with τ = τ − +τ + and μ = μ − +μ + of a Higgs boson at future hadron colliders, namely: a) High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, b) High Energy Large Hadron Collider and c) Future hadron-hadron Circular ...

A Small Pathbreaking Spacecraft: Giants of Space Research (Bernard Blake, Dieter Hovestadt, and Edward Stone)

open access: yesPerspectives of Earth and Space Scientists, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract The Solar, Anomalous, and Magnetospheric Explorer (SAMPEX) mission launched in July 1992 was the first NASA “Small Explorer” project. It had the goal to show how space missions could be developed much more rapidly than had become the situation in the 1980s and 1990s.

Review of phase equilibria of the system BaO–TiO2

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract The system BaO–TiO2 plays a significant role in the field of functional ceramics owing to the existence of multiple dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric intermediate phases. Although the first binary phase diagram for this system was introduced in 1951, more than 70 years passed before construction of a complete phase diagram.

Muon electric dipole moment as a probe of flavor-diagonal CP violation

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2022
Electric dipole moments (EDMs) of elementary particles are powerful probes of new physics with flavor-diagonal CP violation. The reported discrepancy in the muon anomalous magnetic moment motivates us to explore to what extent new physics with flavor ...

Quantum Mechanics in Plasmonic Nanocavities: from Theory to Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 4, April 2025.
Plasmonic nanocavities based on nanoparticle‐on‐mirror (NPoM) geometry provide a facile and versatile platform for quantum plasmonics and its applications. This review focuses on the fundamental theories of quantum plasmonics, its modeling and computation strategies, and its applications. It is suggested that the proper selection of material systems is
