Effects of severe hemorrhage on plasma ANP and glomerular ANP receptors
American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology, 1997Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) plays an important role in blood volume and electrolyte homeostasis in normovolemia and in hypervolemic states. The currently available information on the effects of hypovolemia on plasma ANP is contradictory. Moreover, possible regulation of ANP receptors during severe hemorrhagic hypovolemia has not been investigated.

ANP SOLVER: an alternative tool for implementing the ANP method
International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences, 2011This study proposes a new software tool, the ANP SOLVER that implements the ANP method. The analytic network process is a MCDA technique based on relative measurement on absolute scales of both tangible and intangible criteria. Although today there are plenty of software tools supporting decision makers, the ANP method is not supported in the majority ...

Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin, 1964
ANP 235, which has not yet been given an approved name, is sold in this country by Lloyd Anphar. It has been advertised in some of the medical press quite soberly but not very informatively, featuring eight ‘facts’. One of these is that the reference list now exceeds 150 publications.

Effect of chronic GH overproduction on cardiac ANP expression and circulating ANP levels
Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, 1998Sodium and water retention are common in acromegaly and upon GH administration. The underlying mechanisms, however, have not been clearly characterized as yet. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine possible alterations of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), an endogenous regulator of volume homeostasis, in response to chronic elevated GH.

Autoradiographic localizatio of [125I]-C-ANP compared to [125I]-ANP in rat tissue
Histochemistry, 1991Whole-body autoradiography demonstrated the different distribution of [125I]-C-ANP and [125I]-ANP to rat tissues. Highest enrichment of radioactivity of both labelled peptides was found in the kidney. In some organs we found remarkable differences between [125I]-ANP and [125I]-C-ANP.
