Thermally Induced Synthesis of Anthracene‐, Pyrene‐ and Naphthalene‐Fused Porphyrins
A series of π‐extented porphyrins are synthesized by thermal cyclodehydrogenation of porphyrins functionalized with unsubstituted PAHs. The fused porphyrin derivatives can be demetalated to give rise to the unsubstituted and metal‐free porphyrin dyes.
