Improving the cAnt-MinerPB Classification Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Ant Colony Optimisation (ACO) has been successfully applied to the classification task of data mining in the form of Ant-Miner. A new extension of Ant-Miner, called cAnt-MinerPB, uses the ACO procedure in a different fashion.

HMC‐DSR: An FPGA‐Accelerated Clustered Routing Protocol for Scalable and Energy‐Efficient MANETs

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
FPGA‐based HMC‐DSR protocol enhances MANET routing with real‐time, energy‐efficient processing, reducing end‐to‐end delay by 20.7%. Power consumption decreased by 15.8%, making it ideal for energy‐constrained systems. Hardware resource optimization achieved a 31.2% reduction in flip‐flops and 27.4% in slice utilization. Throughput improvement of 19.4%,

Differential-Evolution-Based Coevolution Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm for Bayesian Network Structure Learning

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2018
Learning the Bayesian networks (BNs) structure from data has received increasing attention. Many heuristic algorithms have been introduced to search for the optimal network that best matches the given training data set. To further improve the performance

Soil Nail Design Optimization Through Adaptive Slope Stability Analysis Using Improved Limit Equilibrium Method

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 50, Issue 6, Page 2806-2822, 25 April 2026.
ABSTRACT Design optimization for automatically generating optimal design results is a promising technique for enhancing the efficiency of design processes and outcomes. However, its development for soil nail reinforced slopes is limited since the traditional slope stability analysis using the limit equilibrium method (LEM) becomes relatively time ...
