Adaptive ant colony optimization algorithm
2014 International Conference on Mechatronics and Control (ICMC), 2014An adaptive ant colony algorithm is proposed to overcome the premature convergence problem in the conventional ant colony algorithm. The adaptive ant colony is composed of three groups of ants: ordinary ants, abnormal ants and random ants. Each ordinary ant searches the path with the high concentration pheromone at the high probability, each abnormal ...

Optimal Reactive Power Optimization by Ant Colony Search Algorithm
2009 Fifth International Conference on Natural Computation, 2009The paper presents an Ant Colony Search Algorithm(ACSA) for Optimal Reactive Power Optimization and voltage control of power systems. ACSA is a new co-operative agents’ approach, which is inspired by the observation of the behavior of real ant colonies on the topic of ant trial formation and foraging methods.

The optimization design of truss based on Ant Colony optimal Algorithm
2010 Sixth International Conference on Natural Computation, 2010An optimization method for a truss structure design using the Ant Colony Algorithm is presented in this paper. With the constraints of the truss stiffness, strength, allowing displacement and other design conditions, the Ant Colony Algorithm is implanted to the optimizing process of the truss structure using the program languages of MATLAB. Two typical

Application of ant colony optimization algorithm in process planning optimization
Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 2010One objective of process planning optimization is to cut down the total cost for machining process, and the ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm is used for the optimization in this paper. Firstly, the process planning problem, considering the selection of machining resources, operations sequence optimization and the manufacturing constraints, is ...

Ant Colony Optimization Algorithms for Shortest Path Problems
2009We propose four variants of recently proposed multi-timescale algorithm in [1] for ant colony optimization and study their application on a multi-stage shortest path problem. We study the performance of the various algorithms in this framework. We observe, that one of the variants consistently outperforms the algorithm [1].

Bi-Criterion Optimization with Multi Colony Ant Algorithms
2001In this paper we propose a new approach to solve bi-criterion optimization problems with ant algorithms where several colonies of ants cooperate in finding good solutions. We introduce two methods for co-operation between the colonies and compare them with a multistart ant algorithm that corresponds to the case of no cooperation. Heterogeneous colonies

Influence of Ant Colony Optimization Parameters on the Algorithm Performance
2018In this paper an Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm for parameter identification of cultivation process models is proposed. In computational point of view it is a hard problem. To be solved problem with a high accuracy in reasonable time, metaheuristic techniques are used.

Optimal Disk Scheduling Based On Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm
2006Disk scheduling problem has theoretical interest and practical importance since, the processor speed and memory capacity have been progressing several times faster than disk speed. More efficient disk usage methods have been needed because of the slow evolution in disk speed technology.
