Determination of the antenna factor of microwave antennas using the antenna impedance measurement
2004 Asia-Pacific Radio Science Conference, 2004. Proceedings., 2005A newly developed antenna calibration method, named the antenna impedance method, was examined on its applicability for various microwave antennas. In the experimental calibration, the antenna impedance was measured above a small-sized metal plate (1 m /spl times/ 1 m).

Development of standard monopole antenna for antenna factor measurement
Proceedings of International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility ELMAGC-97, 1997This paper describes a brief design result and calibration procedure for a vertically polarized monopole antenna in the 30 kHz-300 MHz frequency range at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS). The standard field method is used to calculate the vertical electric field.

Estimation of Antenna Factor of Wire Antenna as Emi Sensor
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2002The ratio of incident electric field at the surface of receiving antenna to the received voltage at the antenna terminal when terminated in 50 ohms load is known as the antenna factor. It is an important parameter of a sensor used for EMI measurements.

Antenna factors of an off-resonant dipole antenna
2012 Conference on Precision electromagnetic Measurements, 2012An off-resonant antenna, such as a shortened dipole is widely used in electromagnetic compatibility measurements due to compactness. The antenna factor of the shorten dipole antenna is ordinary calibrated by comparing that of the standard antenna. However, considerable errors are introduced by applying this method with an insufficient separation due to

Antenna factor determination of a shielded standard loop antenna
2015 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), 2015Consideration of the measurement environment of loop antennas is of great importance since loop antennas for low frequency magnetic fields are mostly used under near field conditions. To do this in the right and entire way, the whole measurement set-up has to be taken into account.

Numerical simulation of the antenna factor of a broadband dipole antenna
2001 IEEE EMC International Symposium. Symposium Record. International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (Cat. No.01CH37161), 2002Antenna factor values provided by the manufacturer are typically determined based on the assumption that the antenna is used in the far field of the source. However, in some measurement situations the antennas are placed in the near field. In this work, a method of moments software code is used to simulate the antenna factor of a broadband dipole ...

Quality Factor of a Nanobowtie Antenna
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2011We present a rigorous formulation based on the Poynting's theorem in dispersive and lossy media to calculate the quality factor, material loss, radiation loss, and radiation pattern of an optical nanobowtie antenna using the finite-difference time-domain method.

Modified "three antennas method" for determining the antenna factor (AF)
2003 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2003. EMC '03., 2003This paper addresses the adequacy of the measurement methodology of "three antennas method" of ANSI Standard C63.5. This method requires installing at least one of the three antennas under test, on two different heights i.e. transmission and receiving positions. Although it presents a unique AF for each antenna at its receiving or transmitting position.

Antenna factors of half‐wavelength dipole antennas with roberts balun
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1996AbstractTo use antenna factors most effectively in either EMI measurement or the reference antenna method, the antenna factor is more accurately derived than the conventionally obtained value when a half‐wave resonant dipole antenna with Roberts balun (ANSI C63.5 Specification) is placed on the ground plane.

Antenna Clearance, an Index Factor for Electrical Size of Small Antennas
2008 International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas and Novel Metamaterials, 2008This paper presented the definition for the antenna clearance using the ratio of input impedance variation caused by the disturbance conducting wire. The clearance was discussed for 2D plane in this paper. The 3D distributions are necessary to estimate an electrical volume of the antenna which is occupied for the stable antenna resonance.
