COVARIANCE MATRIX ADAPTATION EVOLUTIONARY STRATEGY OPTIMIZATION OF PATCH ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Covariance matrix adaptation evolutionary strategy algorithm is applied to optimize a dielectric loaded microstrip patch antenna. The optimization process performance is enhanced by not considering the symmetrical factor of the antenna structure.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

An Electrically Small Frequency Selective Loop Antenna for Shielding Effectiveness Measurement

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper proposes an electrically small and frequency selective loop (FSL) antenna for shielding effectiveness (SE) measurement in low frequency (10 kHz – 30 MHz) magnetic fields. The proposed antenna consists of an outer loop and an inner loop.

ESTIMATION OF ANTENNA FACTOR OF MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA AS EMI SENSOR [PDF]

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research Letters, 2008
This paper presents the result for antenna factor of microstrip patch antenna when used as electromagnetic interference (EMI) sensor. Antenna factor is an important parameter of a sensor used for EMI measurements. The microstrip antenna has found wide application as transmit and receive antenna in modern microwave systems.

On methods to determine bounds on the Q-factor for a given directivity

open access: yes, 2017
This paper revisit and extend the interesting case of bounds on the Q-factor for a given directivity for a small antenna of arbitrary shape. A higher directivity in a small antenna is closely connected with a narrow impedance bandwidth.
