Radiation pattern of a borehole radar antenna
Geophysics, 2005Abstract The finite-difference time-domain method was used to simulate radar waves that were generated by a transmitting antenna inside a borehole. The simulations were of four different models that included features such as a water-filled borehole and an antenna with resistive loading.

A radiation pattern reconfigurable yagi antenna
2017 Sixth Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2017A planar Yagi antenna with configurable radiation pattern is proposed in this paper. The single planar Yagi antenna structure with unidirectional radiation is designed firstly, and the radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna is consist of four planar Yagi antenna and a RF switch element.

Analysis of the radiation patterns of reflector antennas
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1976The development and application of a numerical technique for the rapid calculation of the far-field radiation patterns of a reflector antenna from either a measured or computed feed pattern are reported. The reflector is defined by the intersection of a cone with any surface of revolution or an offset sector of any surface of revolution.

Improving radiation pattern of microstrip antennas
2006 First European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2006It was shown in [1] that polarization currents in the dielectric substrate of microstrip antennas cause deterioration of the radiation pattern. We further study this effect analytically and numerically, with emphasis on techniques for improving the radiation pattern.

Radiation patterns of interfacial dipole antennas
Radio Science, 1982The radiation pattern of an infinitesimal electric dipole is calculated for the case where the dipole is vertically located on the plane interface of two dielectric half spaces and for the case where the dipole is lying horizontally along the interface.

On the Radiation Patterns of Interfacial Antennas
1982The radiation pattern of an interfacial radiating source is obtained for the case where the source is an infinitely long line source lying along the plane interface of two dielectric half-spaces; for the case where the source is an infinitesimal electric dipole vertically located on the interface; and for the case where the dipole is lying horizontally

On-body antenna with reconfigurable radiation pattern
2014 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on RF and Wireless Technologies for Biomedical and Healthcare Applications (IMWS-Bio2014), 2014On body antenna design is a challenging task due to the body being in the near-field of the antenna and the interaction between the two. The antenna should be designed to have a more application dependent gain pattern and to be less sensitive to near field effects of the body.

Radiation Pattern Reconfigurable Horn Antenna
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, 2019A radiation pattern reconfigurable horn antenna (RHA) capable of steering its main beam in three directions in the semi-sphere space corresponding to θ ∈ {−25°, 0°, 25°}, is presented. The RHA consists of a driven X-band (10 GHz-11.5 GHz) horn antenna, a reconfigurable parasitic layer and a dielectric loaded truncated pyramid (DLTP). The surface of the

Antenna-on-Chip radiation pattern characterization
2019Millimeter-wave antenna measurements severely rely on the use of on-wafer probes. For an Antenna-on-chip (AoC), due to the tiny size of the chip (1~2 mm2), the radiation pattern will still be influenced when the probe tip is near the AoC under test (AUT).

On Polarization Coloration of the Antenna Radiation Pattern
Journal of Communications Technology and Electronics, 2018Problems arising in the course of practical implementation of the principles and of radio polarimetry are considered. It is shown how to ensure “polarization coloration” of the radiation pattern. The influence of various interferences and the noise, which inevitably exist during information transmission, is considered.
