The biocompatibilities of two silicones ("Homburg" and "St. Wendel" silicone) and "Perspex CQ" (Titmus Eurocon Kontaktlinsen GmbH, Aschaffenburg) were tested in rabbits' eyes using the anterior chamber implantation test. Test criteria were iris folds, corneal opacification, fibrin flocks, and iris hyperemia.
