Severe anterior open-bite malocclusion.

open access: yesThe Angle orthodontist, 2006
This case report describes the treatment of a severe anterior open bite, Class II malocclusion with a history of dummy sucking. The 9-year-old girl presented with a significant anteroposterior and vertical discrepancy. Her face was convex with procumbent lips.

Preparation and Thermal Modification of Disentangled Ultrahigh‐Molecular‐Weight Polyethylene Particles for Powder‐Based Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrahigh‐molecular‐weight polyethylene powders (<≈40 μm) with a bulk density of 260 g L−1 are prepared from a silica supported bisimine pyridine iron catalyst. The nascent product is disentangled and can be thermally densified without loss of its low viscosity.

Structurally Colored Physically Unclonable Functions with Ultra‐Rich and Stable Encoding Capacity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
This study reports a design strategy for generating bright‐field resolvable physically unclonable functions with extremely rich encoding capacity coupled with outstanding thermal and chemical stability. The optical response emerges from thickness‐dependent structural color formation in ZnO features, which are fabricated by physical vapor deposition ...

Combined orthodontics and surgical approach to class III malocclusion with anterior open bite in adults [PDF]

open access: yes
Skeletal anterior open bite with Class III malocclusion in adults is one of the most difficult malocclusions to treat. Surgical intervening is a must, along with orthodontics in such complex cases.

Engineering the Hierarchical Porosity of Granular Hydrogel Scaffolds Using Porous Microgels to Improve Cell Recruitment and Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
By fabricating and covalently assembling gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) porous microgels, a new class of granular hydrogel scaffolds with hierarchical porosity is developed. These scaffolds have a significantly higher void fraction than their counterparts made up of nonporous microgels, enhancing cell recruitment and tissue integration. This research may

Relationship between facial morphology, anterior open bite and non-nutritive sucking habits during the primary dentition stage

open access: yesDental Press Journal of Orthodontics, 2014
INTRODUCTION: Non-nutritive sucking habits (NNSHs) can cause occlusal alterations, including anterior open bite (AOB). However, not all patients develop this malocclusion.

Comprehensive approach to simultaneous molar intrusion and canine retraction in the treatment of Class II anterior open bite using miniscrew anchorage

open access: yesDental Press Journal of Orthodontics, 2020
Introduction: Anterior open bite is one of the most difficult malocclusions to correct in orthodontic treatment. Molar intrusion using miniscrew anchorage has been developed as a new strategy for open bite correction; however, this procedure still has ...

AGE Challenge: Angle Closure Glaucoma Evaluation in Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Angle closure glaucoma (ACG) is a more aggressive disease than open-angle glaucoma, where the abnormal anatomical structures of the anterior chamber angle (ACA) may cause an elevated intraocular pressure and gradually lead to glaucomatous optic neuropathy and eventually to visual impairment and blindness.
