Stability and Hopf bifurcation analysis for the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis model with memory [PDF]
This paper generalizes the existing minimal model of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis in a realistic way, by including memory terms: distributed time delays, on one hand and fractional-order derivatives, on the other hand. The existence of a unique equilibrium point of the mathematical models is proved and a local stability analysis is ...

Stability and Hopf bifurcation analysis of a four-dimensional hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis model with distributed delays [PDF]
A four-dimensional mathematical model of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is investigated, incorporating the influence of the GR concentration and general feedback functions. The inclusion of distributed time delays provides a more realistic modeling approach, since the whole past history of the variables is taken into account.

A Novel International Endoscopic Sphenoid Surgery Classification (IESSC): A Delphi Consensus
ABSTRACT Background Advancements in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery created a need for standardized terminology to describe sphenoid sinus surgery. Although classification systems exist for other sinuses, one for endoscopic sphenoid sinus surgery is lacking.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in isolated growth hormone deficiency
In this study the presence of pituitary-hypothalamic abnormalities was searched by magnetic resonance (MR) imaging in 30 children (18 males and 12 females, aged 7.4 to 23 years) with isolated growth hormone deficiency (IGHD).

ABSTRACT Background Particulate matter ⩽2.5 µm in diameter (PM2.5) and its role in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) pathogenesis have gained heightened attention. We previously demonstrated that PM2.5 exposure may bias the nasal mucosa in CRS toward a Type 2 inflammatory pathway.

Development of the anterior pituitary: diverse lineages of the stem/progenitor cells
The pituitary gland is endocrine tissue composed of two distinct parts with different origins: the adenohypophysis (adenohypophyseal placode origin) and the neurohypophysis (neuroectoderm origin). Differentiation of endocrine cells in the pituitary gland
